UPDATE ON CLAIMS PAYMENTS WITHIN THE NHIS CLICK HERE TO VIEW / DOWNLOAD
Subsequent to the news release issued by the NHIA on 3rd June 2010, the Authority has made payments totaling GH¢ 158,323,059.77 to the District Mutual Health Insurance Schemes (DMHIS) and Health Providers to cover claims for the period up to March 2010. Service providers, who do not receive payments after Thursday 10th June, 2010 should please call the NHIA on the following numbers: 0302231220; 0302232325
The NHIA wishes to assure its cherished service providers and the general public of its commitment to meet its financial obligations to all partners in the implementation of the Scheme. It is pertinent to note however, that there is a time lapse in claims processing between the date of submission of the claim and the time when payment is finally made. This means that claims would always be in arrears for up to three months.
