The management and staff of Alisa hotel came out in their numbers to register on to the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) when a team from the NHIS moved onsite as part of the corporate registration exercise to get more Ghanaians enrolled unto the Scheme.
Others renewed and linked their NHIS card to the Ghana card whereas some Ghanaian guest at the hotel seized the opportunity to register themselves unto the scheme upon noticing NHIS presence.Staff of the hotel were delighted with this exercise because their work schedules do not offer them ample time to visit NHIS district offices to get registered.
They were taken through the Scheme’s benefit package and the medicine list, as well as the new mobile Application called MyNHIS.This special corporate registration exercise which is organized by the Corporate Affairs Directorate in collaboration with the Membership and Regional Operations Directorate of the NHIA, forms part of measures to increase the NHIS active membership with an ultimate objective geared towards attaining Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by the year 2030.
